About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) PACU / Pre-Op / Post-Op for a 13-week contract in Clarkston, Washington. The RN will provide perioperative nursing care across outpatient services, including Day Surgery, Endoscopy, PACU, Pre-Operative Clinic, Phase II Recovery, Infusion, and conscious sedation procedures .
Candidates must have strong Pre-Op, Post-Op, PACU, Phase II, Endoscopy, and Infusion nursing skills and be comfortable floating throughout the Outpatient Services department. Charge Nurse experience is preferred.
ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive pre-operative, post-operative, PACU, Phase II, Endoscopy, and Infusion nursing care.
Perform perioperative nursing assessments and provide patient and family education throughout the surgical and procedural care process.
Monitor patients following anesthesia and procedures and recognize signs of post-anesthesia or post-operative complications.
Float throughout Outpatient Services, including Day Surgery, Endoscopy, PACU, Pre-Operative Clinic, and areas requiring conscious sedation support.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting safe patient flow.
Minimum 2 Years of Recent SSSU, PACU, Pre-Op, and Post-Op Registered Nurse Experience Required; Charge Nurse Experience Preferred.
Current, Active Registered Nurse License Required; Applicable Washington Nursing Practice Requirements Must Be Met Before Start.
Current BLS/BCLS Certification Required.
Current ACLS and PALS Certifications Required.
Strong Experience With Pre-Op, Post-Op, PACU, Phase II Recovery, Endoscopy, Infusion, and Conscious Sedation Care Required; Ability to Participate in Shared PACU Call Required.
This contract opportunity is suited for an experienced perioperative RN with strong PACU and outpatient procedural nursing skills who is comfortable rotating across multiple phases of surgical care.
